NATO chief offers condolences to Türkiye over military plane crash
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has extended his condolences to Türkiye after a Turkish Air Force C-130 military transport aircraft crashed in Georgia.
In a post shared on the Alliance’s official X account, Rutte said:
“We express our deepest condolences to our ally Türkiye and to the families of all those who lost their lives in today’s tragic accident. Our deepest gratitude goes to the members of the Turkish Armed Forces and to all our men and women in uniform across the Alliance who work every day to keep us safe.”
Reports indicate that 20 military personnel were on board the Turkish Armed Forces’ C-130 aircraft that crashed in Georgia.
