Trump says Venezuela to buy only U.S. goods with oil revenues
U.S. President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that Venezuela would use revenues from a new oil deal to purchase only American-made products.
“I was just informed that Venezuela will be buying only U.S.-made products with the funds obtained from our new oil deal,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
He said the purchases would include U.S. agricultural products, medicines and equipment for the energy grid.
“In other words, Venezuela is committing to do business with the United States as its primary trading partner. This is a wise choice and very good for the people of Venezuela and the United States,” Trump added.
