Pahlavi vows Israel recognition, end to nuclear program if power changes in Iran

Iran would halt its military nuclear programme, recognise Israel and seek to normalise relations with the United States if there is a change of power, Iranian crown prince Reza Pahlavi said.

In a post on social media platform X, Pahlavi said Iran’s global image under the current system has been shaped by “terrorism, extremism and poverty”, adding that a “free Iran” would act as a stabilising force in the region and a responsible international partner.

He said support for militant groups would be ended and Iran would work with regional and global partners to counter terrorism, organised crime and drug trafficking.

Pahlavi also pledged the immediate recognition of Israel and a restoration of ties with Washington, saying Iran would seek to expand the Abraham Accords to include a future free Iran.

On the economy, he said Iran would open up to trade, investment and innovation and aim to become a reliable global energy supplier.
