IRGC general warns Trump of retaliation if Iran is attacked
A senior general of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps warned U.S. President Donald Trump that Tehran would respond forcefully to any attack on the country, saying Iran would no longer accept a ceasefire under such circumstances.
Mohsen Rezaei, a member of Iran’s Expediency Council, said that if hostilities escalated, American military bases in the region would not be safe.
He added that Iran’s past restraint and what he described as “strategic patience” should not be misinterpreted. His remarks were reported by opposition outlet Iran International.
The United States did not immediately respond to the comments.
