Photo of Putin and Trump displayed inside the White House
A framed photograph showing Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump standing together has been displayed in one of the rooms of the White House, PBS News Hour journalist Elizabeth Landers reported on X.
“Something I hadn’t seen before: a framed photo of Presidents Trump and Putin from their summer summit in Alaska,” Landers wrote.
The photo was taken during talks between the two leaders last summer at a U.S. military base in Alaska. Trump previously said that the photograph had been sent to the White House personally by Putin.
“I was just sent a photograph… He (Putin) treats me and our country with great respect, though not so much others,” Trump said at the time.
According to the report, another photograph showing Trump with his granddaughter is displayed beneath the image sent by the Russian president.
