Pashinyan aims to sign a peace agreement with Azerbaijan before the elections
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that signing a peace agreement with Azerbaijan remains on the agenda of the Armenian authorities ahead of the parliamentary elections.
He made the remarks in an interview with Armenia’s Public Television when asked about the likelihood of signing the deal before the vote.
“I have such an agenda. Let’s not talk about perceptions. The agenda included signing in December, January, October and April last year, as discussions on the draft peace agreement were completed in March last year. So we will continue to work,” Pashinyan said.
Armenia’s parliamentary elections are scheduled for June 7, 2026.
