Pakistan’s Global Industrial and Defense Solutions (GIDS) has unveiled a new hypersonic anti-ship ballistic missile named “SMASH” at the World Defence Show 2026 in Saudi Arabia.

According to Report, the missile is capable of striking both naval and land targets.

In its anti-ship configuration, the missile has a range of 290 kilometres and carries a 384-kg warhead.

It is equipped with an “HD GNSS inertial” navigation system integrated with an active radar seeker, enabling high-precision tracking of moving maritime targets.

Late last year, the Pakistan Navy announced that the first platforms to carry the missile would be Zulfiquar-class (F-22P) frigates.
