U.S. President Donald Trump is considering withdrawing American troops from countries that did not support Washington during the conflict with Iran, the The Wall Street Journal reported.

According to the report, the Trump administration is reviewing plans to pull forces from NATO allies that declined to back the U.S. campaign against Iran and redeploy them to countries that supported Washington’s efforts.

The move, if implemented, would mark a shift in U.S. military positioning among allied states.
