An Iranian official said Mojtaba Khamenei may soon deliver an address to the nation, amid heightened attention to the country’s leadership.

Abdul Majid Hakim Elahi, a representative of Iran’s supreme leader in India, said Tehran expects the address to take place “very soon,” with Khamenei speaking directly to the public.

Elahi added that the supreme leader remains fully in control of the situation and continues to play an active role in state affairs, including holding meetings with senior officials such as the president and members of parliament.

He also said the supreme leader had taken key decisions, including on a ceasefire in the conflict with the United States and Israel.
