Russian security official says Armenia is repeating Ukraine’s 2013-2014 path

Armenia is effectively following the same path that Ukraine took in 2013-2014 and should think carefully to avoid a similar outcome, Russian Security Council Deputy Secretary Alexei Shevtsov said.

“Recently, both Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko said that Armenia is essentially repeating Ukraine’s 2013-2014 experience. One should think carefully so that what happened in Ukraine does not happen there,” Shevtsov said in an interview with Rossiya television on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

The Russian official said Moscow was closely monitoring developments in Armenia.
