Coronavirus cases detected again in Georgia
Several coronavirus cases have been detected in Georgia over the past three weeks, said Ivane Chkhaidze, director of the Iashvili Central Children’s Hospital.
He said the figures remain low but confirm that COVID-19 continues to circulate in the country.
Chkhaidze noted that viruses currently spreading in Georgia mostly cause mild illness and generally do not lead to complications.
He also said the number of hospital visits related to viral infections is gradually declining. Specialists expect such visits to continue decreasing in July and August.
