Kremlin says attempts are being made to undermine Russia-led integration blocs

Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov said the situation around Armenia reflected attempts to undermine integration groupings involving Russia.

Speaking at the Primakov Readings forum, Ushakov said supporters of the “rules-based order” were seeking to weaken organisations in which Russia participates.

He said an “illusory perception” was being promoted that historical and geographical ties between peoples who had lived side by side for centuries could be revised.

“Looking at the situation around Ukraine, it is clear what kind of tragedy this can lead to,” Ushakov said.
