Dagestan limits fuel sales amid rising demand

Dagestan has introduced temporary limits on fuel sales amid rising demand, the republic’s energy ministry said. 

Under the restrictions, each customer may buy no more than 20 litres of petrol and 50 litres of diesel fuel, the ministry said. 

The ministry said the measure was aimed at ensuring an even distribution of available supplies among consumers and preventing an artificial fuel shortage.
