Armenian PM Pashinyan to recall ambassador to Russia Gurgen Arsenyan, media reports
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan plans to recall the country's Ambassador to the Russian Federation Gurgen Arsenyan amid dissatisfaction with his diplomatic performance, Vesti.az reported, citing Armenian outlet Armlur.
According to media reports, the decision to recall the envoy has been finalized and is driven by ongoing bilateral strains in Armenian-Russian relations. A successor for the diplomatic post in Moscow has not yet been selected, and official Armenian authorities have not issued formal comments.
Arsenyan has served as Armenia's ambassador to Russia since August 2024, having previously served as a member of parliament representing the ruling Civil Contract party.
