Former Armenian President's son Sedrak Kocharyan remanded in custody for two months
A court in Armenia has remanded Sedrak Kocharyan, the eldest son of former President Robert Kocharyan, in pre-trial detention for two months, defense attorney Aleksandr Kochubaev announced.
"A preventive measure in the form of two months of detention has been selected for Mr. Kocharyan," the attorney stated.
Armenia's Prosecutor General's Office has pressed charges against Kocharyan under three separate criminal counts. Earlier, the former president's office confirmed his initial apprehension and transfer to the Anti-Corruption Committee.
