Bosnia election results: Becirovic leads presidential race
The Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced preliminary election results after tallying over 96% of ballots cast for the tripartite Presidency, national and regional parliaments, and the presidency of the Republika Srpska.
In the contest for the Bosniak seat on the Presidency, Denis Becirovic leads with 26.78% over Bakir Izetbegovic (23.88%). Darijana Filipovic of the HDZ secured the Croat seat with 13.89%, while Serb voters backed Zeljka Cvijanovic of the ruling SNSD with a decisive 55.33%. Savo Minic captured the Republika Srpska presidency with 52.08% of the vote. In legislative races, the SNSD secured 40.93% in Republika Srpska, while the SDA led the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina's House of Representatives with 30.63%.
