US military strike on Caribbean boat kills 4 suspected traffickers
The US military conducted a targeted kinetic strike on a speedboat allegedly engaged in illicit narcotics trafficking in the Caribbean Sea on October 4, leaving four people dead.
According to a statement released by the US Southern Command (SOUTHCOM), intelligence confirmed that the high-speed vessel was actively involved in maritime drug-smuggling operations.
US media reports indicate that since the launch of the intensified maritime interdiction campaign in autumn 2025, strikes by US forces against suspected smuggling vessels have killed more than 230 individuals.
