Mirzoyan: Armenia-Turkey border may reopen at any moment
Armenia questions the necessity of appointing a new special envoy for the normalization of ties with Turkey, Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan told reporters.
Mirzoyan stated that the land borders between the two neighbors could reopen even before new emissaries are formally agreed upon and designated.
According to the foreign minister, diplomatic tracks have matured to a stage where full and final reconciliation can be finalized at any moment. Emphasizing that bilateral exchanges occur on a near-daily basis, Mirzoyan also announced that an Armenia-Turkey business forum will be hosted in Armenia in the near future. The previous Armenian envoy, Ruben Rubinyan, vacated the post following his election as speaker of parliament.
