Trump Praises Russian Diesel Fuel Agreement, Highlights Global Market Impact
US President Donald Trump commended the recent diesel supply agreement reached with the Russian Federation, noting its positive stabilizing impact on global energy distribution. Speaking to journalists at Joint Base Andrews near Washington prior to departing for Michigan, the US leader positively assessed the initiative.
"They did not just give oil to us; they gave oil to the world. It was a very good thing," Trump told reporters.
Earlier, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak stated that Moscow stands ready to fulfill the full volume of diesel required by the United States under the current fuel framework. The arrangement builds on a direct telephone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump on October 9, during which the Kremlin confirmed its readiness to sustain crude and petroleum product exports to both the US domestic and broader international markets.
