Yesterday, commuters making their way into the capital from Kent on Southeastern suffered delays because of leaves and ice on the tracks. A message on Twitter from Southeastern said: ‘The poor rail conditions are due to leaf fall and ice on the tracks.’Manchester will be the coldest city later in the week, when the mercury is tipped to  dip to -2C tomorrow and -3C on Saturday. Laura Young, at the Met Office, said: ‘We have gone from temperatures for this time of year being one degree above average to suddenly being one to two degrees below and that has come as a shock to the system.’Despite the forecast for brighter weather this weekend, those planning on venturing outside will still need to wrap up warm  as temperatures will struggle to reach the November averages of 10C.Ms Young said it was too soon to say if we would be see a white Christmas.(metro.co.uk)ANN.Az
