The world's lamest custom cars

The cut-price customisations range from a pair of truly atrocious Batmobiles to and a DeLorean stretched so long it has three sets of gull-wing doors - and certainly wouldn't be able to take you back to the future.

Price comparison website Confused.com has collected the atrocious array of vehicles which it is hard to believe anyone would want to be seen dead in. 

One old banger has a spoiler, rear skirt and triple exhaust pipe combination made entirely of cardboard and held together with tape. 

A Batman fan has tried to turn his Volkswagen Beetle into the caped crusader's legendary Batmobile by attaching a questionable bat mask to the bonnet and a wing which looks like a shark fin to the roof. 

Then there's the saloon whose every surface is covered in stuck on toy figurines and a Mazda with a toothy grin. 

It's enough to give anyone road rage.
