Visitors to the world's tallest building can now get an even more elevated view of the surrounding area in Dubai.

A new observation deck has been constructed on the 2,717ft Burj Khalifa skyscraper that visitors can now pay to ride up to on the 148th floor.That is 1,821ft above street level, making it the world's highest observation deck, according to Guinness World Records.To get there, sightseers have to change lifts on level 125.Previously tourists could only go to an observation deck on the 124th floor. Nearly 1.9 million visitors did so last year.The higher views come with steeper prices. Pre-booked tickets for the new attraction cost the equivalent of £68, or £85 for walk-up tickets.Visitors to At the Top, Burj Khalifa can rent the smart audio device with headphones to enjoy the fascinating story of the engineering and architectural marvel.The tours are also available in English, Arabic, French, Spanish, Mandarin, Japanese, Russian, and German. Young guests between 8-12 years of age, have an option of a special children’s audio tour. Now available at an introductory price of AED 25, the Audio Guided Tour can be obtained from the ticket counter.At the Top, Burj Khalifa SKY visitors have guided tours of the attraction with a Guest Ambassador.Building on the Burj Khalifa - which includes a hotel, the world's highest nightclub, restaurants and office space - started in September 2004.It was designed by Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, the same architecture firm behind the Willis Tower in Chicago and the new One World Trade Center in New York.After delays the building, surrounded by 27 acres of landscaped gardens, opened on January 4 2010.
