Baku hosts CICA conference on women’s leadership

An international conference of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) посвящённый women's leadership is being held in Baku, organisers said.

The event is held under the theme “Empowering women’s voices for sustainable development in the CICA region.”

Panel discussions will focus on “Women’s entrepreneurship in small and medium-sized businesses: opportunities of artificial intelligence and digitalisation” and “Women’s leadership in environmental protection and strengthening sustainability.”

The first meeting of the CICA Women’s Council is also scheduled as part of the event.

According to the programme, Azerbaijan’s State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs Chair Bahar Muradova and CICA Secretary General Kairat Sarybay will hold a press conference at the end of the event.

The meeting aims to formally implement a mandate focused on coordination, dialogue and exchange of experience among CICA member states.
