Brent crude falls below $72 a barrel

Global oil prices edged lower, Reuters  reported. 

August WTI crude futures on the New York Mercantile Exchange fell by $0.02, or 0.03%, to $68.67 per barrel.

September Brent crude futures on London’s ICE exchange declined by $0.17, or 0.24%, to $71.95 per barrel.

Analysts linked the decline to cautious market sentiment over the pace of global economic growth and the outlook for energy demand.
