Armenians break ceasefire 112 times, Azerbaijan says

The Armenian army violated the ceasefire 112 times in the past 24 hours, firing on Azerbaijani positions in many sections of the ceasefire line, the Defense Ministry in Baku said.

Azerbaijani troops struck enemy positions 114 times in retaliation, the ministry said.

No casualties were reported on the Azerbaijani side.

Armenia captured nearly one-fifth of Azerbaijan’s internationally-recognized territory, including Nagorno-Karabakh and seven adjacent districts, in a war in the early 1990s.

While large-scale hostilities ended with a ceasefire in 1994, no peace agreement has been signed.

Armenia has yet to comply with four UN Security Council resolutions demanding immediate and unconditional withdrawal from the Azerbaijani territory.
