Milli Maclis, or Azerbaijani parliament, approved an agreement yesterday lifting the visa regime for Peruvian nationals holding diplomatic and service passports.

Samad Seyidov, head of the parliament's international relations committee, said: "The visa regime is never lifted with under-developed nations. The signing of this agreement shows that Azerbaijan is a developed country."

Holders of diplomatic and service passports will be allowed to stay in Azerbaijan for no longer than 90 days, Seyidov said.
