Azerbaijan halts gas exports to Russia

Azerbaijansuspended the supply of natural gas to Russia because of pipeline repairs,state energy company SOCAR said.

Itwas the second time this year Azerbaijan halted gas supplies to Russia. Exportswere stopped from January to June due to road repairs.

Itwas not immediately clear when the exports will resume.

Russiagets 2 million cubic meters of gas a day from Azerbaijan.
