Azerbaijan increases gas exports in first half, oil exports fall

Azerbaijanexported 17.03 million tons of crude oil in the first half of the year, downfrom 17.29 million tons a year earlier, the State Customs Committee said.

Exports ofnatural gas increased to 4.26 billion cubic meters from 3.36 billion cubicmeters, the committee said on its website.

Azerbaijan cutoil production 2.8 percent during the period to 21.2 million tons, the StateStatistics Committee said. Gas production grew to 9.1 bcm from 8.9 bcm.
