Peskov: Kremlin considers Trump's approach to Ukrainian issue balanced

The US and President Donald Trump demonstrate a balanced approach to the Ukrainian settlement, constant discussions of possible new American sanctions are inappropriate, Russian Presidential Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said, anews informs via Interfax.
"We see that a large number of media outlets are de facto participating in a campaign aimed at disrupting the peace process, which aims to 'encourage' the Americans to introduce new sanctions in every possible way," Peskov said, answering the question of how this will affect the negotiation process on the settlement in Ukraine.
"We see this, it is all visible to the naked eye. We are aware of this, but at the same time, the Americans and President Trump are very balanced in their approach. It is clear that not everything is simple, it is clear that everyone wants everything as soon as possible. But the substance associated with the settlement of the root causes of the Ukrainian conflict is so complex that, of course, time is needed. The work is underway," the Kremlin representative added.
