19 inmates escaped from Azerbaijani prisons in 2024

A total of 19 inmates escaped from penitentiary institutions in Azerbaijan in 2024, the State Statistics Committee said on Wednesday.

The number is 10 fewer than in 2023. Last year, 55 individuals evaded serving their sentences.
