Traffic police warn drivers and pedestrians amid rainy weather
The Main Department of the State Traffic Police has warned that the current rainy weather creates hazardous conditions for road users, significantly increasing the risk of accidents.
“Slippery roads and limited visibility require greater attention, responsibility and discipline from drivers,” the statement said. “Motorists are advised to drive with caution, reduce speed, keep a longer distance, and ensure their wipers and lights are in proper working condition.”
The department also urged pedestrians to be more cautious, use sidewalks and crosswalks, and wear light-colored, visible clothing. “Cross the road only after making sure that no vehicles are approaching or that all vehicles have come to a complete stop,” the statement added.
