Azerbaijan’s traffic police urge drivers to plan routes ahead of holiday travel
Azerbaijan’s Main Department of the State Traffic Police (DYP) has called on drivers planning trips during the Victory Day and National Flag Day holidays to plan their routes in advance.
According to Report, between November 8 and 11 traffic intensity is expected to increase nationwide, particularly between Baku and the regions.
The DYP urged motorists to check their vehicles before traveling — including brakes, tires, lights, and wipers — and to avoid driving while tired or drowsy. Drivers were also reminded to observe speed limits, avoid risky maneuvers, maintain a safe distance, and ensure children are secured with seat belts or child seats.
Pedestrians were advised to cross only at designated crossings, follow traffic lights, and wear reflective clothing after dark.
The DYP said its officers will operate in an enhanced mode during the holidays to ensure road safety and prevent accidents.
