Azerbaijan to witness the year’s last supermoon overnight

Residents of Azerbaijan will be able to observe the last supermoon of the year overnight on December 5.

During the event, the Moon reaches its closest point to Earth and appears about 14% larger and 30% brighter than usual.

The approach began on December 4 at 15:07, when the Moon reached perigee at a distance of 356,961 km from Earth. The full phase will occur at 03:15.
