At least 165 people have died and 96 others were injured following an attack on a girls’ school in Minab, Iranian authorities reported to Fars news agency. Rescue and debris-clearing operations are ongoing.

The strike occurred on February 28 as part of US and Israeli military operations code-named “Lion’s Roar” and “Epic Wrath,” which also targeted other cities including Tehran.

Iranian lawmaker Masud Pezeshkian condemned the attack as a “barbaric act,” while US officials, including Tim Hawkins, said Washington is investigating the reasons for the strike and prioritizing civilian protection, continuing all measures to minimize harm.
