Renowned Azeris who passed away in 2013 - LIST

The outgoing year saw the deaths of a number of prominent Azerbaijanis.

World-famous artist Togrul Narimanbekov died on June 8. His death was as problematic as unexpected. The question of his funeral caused specific disputes. But regardless of the place of his burial, along with Azerbaijan the world also lost its bright representative.

With the death of the popularly beloved actor Siyavush Aslan, another loss occurred in the world of Azerbaijani culture . By the end of the life the actor suffered from disease and passed away on June 27. He joined eternal peace only two days after he was awarded the Order of Glory.

Another loss in the world of culture is connected with the name of the director Alekper Muradov. The last three years of his life the filmmaker had cancer and died in August 2013.

The death of the actor of the Sheki Dramatic Theatre Farman Shekili can also be attributed to the number of losses in the cultural sphere. The actor died on March 6 at the age of 58.

"Falling leaves" affected the world of literature. Initially, on February 5 the writer - journalist Zakir Sadatly passed away. He died at 53 years old and did not have time to see how his book "The Afghan abyss" was chosen as the best book in the national competition.

Around the same time, to be exact - on February 6 departed another writer Shaig Vely. Three children of the poet, who died in Sumgait in solitude and in abject poverty, are still dependent on their relatives.

Another fallen leaf of the Azerbaijani literature became the 84-year-old scientist folklorist Sadnik Pasha. The scientist considered the encyclopedia of Nizami and heritage of Azerbaijan folklore was also a member of the Council for the Protection of the Institute of Folklore.

On the first of September stepped into another world the editor of Gobustan Alekper Salahzade, at his age of 62.

A little later, to be exact - September 20 the literary critic Elnara Tofiggyzy died due to medical negligence.

Another ten days, on October 1 died the poet, head of the press service of Azerbaijan Writers Union Adalat Askeroglu. The poet that for many years suffered from diabetes suffered a stroke that night, and at the age of 56 went into another world.

This past year was also memorable with the loss of eminent scientists. Doctor of Medical Sciences, Academician Rahim Rahimov died on July 6 at the age of 86.

Another loss was associated with the name of the Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor of the Baku State University Yusif Seyidov. He died in November at the age of 84.

Hectic life also appeared in the political arena of the country. So, in early September of this year went to another world one of the leaders of the Azerbaijani national movement and one of the founders of the New Azerbaijan Party, former Minister of Information and Press Siruz Tebrizli.

In March died the Milli Majlis deputy Hikmet Atayev, hitting a car brand VAZ 21-06 in an accident.

The most severe loss in defense of the country was the death of the deputy head of the State Border Service Major General Muhammad Abbasguliyev. He said goodbye to life on November 22 due to a heart attack.
