Several members of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) were killed in Israeli strikes in Beirut, Lebanese broadcaster MTV reported, citing an informed source.

The report said the IRGC members were operating in Lebanon and coordinating Hezbollah operations. The strikes were carried out on April 8.

In a separate statement, the Israeli military said it was continuing operations against Hezbollah in southern Lebanon alongside its 91st Division.

The military said more than 40 Hezbollah fighters had been killed over the past week and more than 50 infrastructure sites destroyed. Air strikes also targeted ammunition depots and other sites.

Reuters could not independently verify the reports.
