Russia has launched a drone strike on a Ukrainian gas transit facility near the Romanian border, according to Ukraine’s Ministry of Energy.

The targeted station is reportedly used for receiving gas supplies from both the United States and Azerbaijan.

The extent of the damage and its impact on gas flows has not yet been fully disclosed. Ukrainian authorities are assessing the consequences of the attack.

Ukraine has been working to diversify its energy sources and reduce reliance on Russian gas by importing from partners like the U.S. and Azerbaijan.
