Crypto income in Azerbaijan not subject to mandatory taxation

 Income from cryptocurrency transactions in Azerbaijan is not subject to mandatory taxation.

Guliyev said there is currently no official mechanism to monitor crypto transactions, and therefore taxes can only be paid voluntarily.

Under the country’s tax code, profits from cryptocurrencies are considered non-business income. Individuals may choose to report such earnings and pay a personal income tax of 14%.
