Cotton yields improve in Azerbaijan

Farmers in Azerbaijan say government support, expanded subsidies and increased mechanisation have contributed to higher efficiency and rising cotton yields in recent years. Subsidy and leasing programmes have made modern agricultural machinery — including tractors, seeders and cotton harvesters — more accessible to producers.

Mechanised operations have reduced manual labour, lowered field losses and improved raw cotton quality.
