The seventh instalment in the franchise was half finished when Walker died in a car crash alongside his friend and professional race car drive Roger Rodas in Valencia, California. It is thought that the film’s creators will re-write parts of the film’s script to “retire” rather than kill off Walker’s character, allowing the franchise to continue in the future.Universal will reportedly restart production around 1 April, sources told The Hollywood Reporter.Actors and crew members are to be called back to the set in Atlanta, where the film is expected to take six to eight weeks to finish. It is due to be released on 10 April 2015.The film's previous release date was scrapped when Walker died from a combination of “traumatic and thermal injuries” in the car crash. This means that the forceful impact of the crash alone was not enough to kill the star. Instead, the combination of the high speed and the resulting combustion of the vehicle led to his death, CNN reported.Universal declined to comment on their plans. (independent.co.uk)ANN.Az
