Georgian president’s salary more than doubled

Georgian president's salary has more than doubled. This informationwas confirmed to journalists by Georgian Finance Minister Nodar Khaduribefore the government meeting on Dec.5, Trend reported.The total salary has been increased from 4,200 lari ($2464) to 9,000 lari ($5,280), Khaduri said."The president will receive some 7,200 lari ($4,224) after taxes," the finance minister said."Asa result of shrinking the apparatus of the president, some funds werefreed up and therefore, we got resources for increasing the salary ofPresident Giorgi Margvelashvili, "he said.Pensions in Georgia amount to 160 lari ($93) and the average salary is equal to 350-400 lari.
