For the first time since its independence Azerbaijan has suspended export of gasoline produced of its own raw material.
According to the official information of State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), during 2013 it exported only 14,250 tons of gasoline to the foreign markets against 60,142 tons in 2012. This means that export of Azerbaijan gasoline decreased by 76.3%.
In December 2013 SOCAR exported only 52 tons of gasoline, down 38 times against the same period in 2012.
Last year SOCAR exported gasoline, which was made of Kazakhstan oil, David Mammadov, SOCAR Vice President, said in November 2013. He said small batches of Kazakhstan oil were delivered to Baku’s oil refineries and gasoline made of this oil was exported.
Azerbaijan exported gasoline only to Georgia.
