"Europe is an important gas consumer, especially when concerns due to the global warming are on the agenda. Gas is very important in this aspect. Azerbaijan has a strategic location in order to play an important role in supplying Europe, one of the important economic centers globally. We are watching with great interest the process of development of the SGC project. Israel will start producing gas for export in the coming years. Accordingly, an issue of Israel’s joining in the SGC project, especially TANAP, will be duly considered. Therefore, the matter of energy is of the same importance for us”, the Ambassador emphasized.

Dan Stav stated that Israel watches the economic reforms implemented by President Ilham Aliyev with a great interest. "We think that a decision about diversification of economy is important especially amid the oil price decline. "We delivered all information about innovations, change of policy and regulation in Azerbaijan to relevant institutions in Israel, especially to the Ministry of Economy and Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Great opportunities are opened for Israeli companies in this context. There are sectors providing such opportunities, for instance, in the agricultural sector. I think that there very good conditions, rich soil, water resources, diverse climate and hard working people in Azerbaijan. I assume that our advanced technologies and experience along with splendid knowledge of qualities of soils can promote prosperity of agriculture of Azerbaijan”, Dan Stav said.
