Earlier, the head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, said that the first tranche of income from frozen Russian assets amounting to 1.4 billion euros will be transferred to the European Commission in the first week of August. He specified that this sum of money will go to military aid to Ukraine: for the purchase of air defense systems and ammunition.
