Lithuania, as part of the international program Grain from Ukraine, has allocated 2 million euros to finance its export. The corresponding decision was made following a meeting of the government of the Baltic republic, reported from TASS.

"The Grain from Ukraine initiative plays an important role in mitigating the negative consequences of the war on the global food market and strengthening Ukraine’s ability to export grain, for which Lithuania is allocating 2 million euros,” reads the statement.

The contribution that Vilnius will make to the international program was first mentioned by Lithuanian Prime Minister Ingrida Simonyte last week during her visit to Ukraine.
