Azerbaijan signs UN Convention against Cybercrime
Azerbaijan has signed the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime during a ceremony held in Hanoi, Vietnam, on October 25–26, attended by UN Secretary-General António Guterres, Vietnamese President Luong Cuong, and delegations from various countries.
According to a presidential order, the convention was signed on behalf of Azerbaijan by Colonel-General Ali Nagiyev, head of the State Security Service.
The document aims to strengthen international legal cooperation in combating cybercrime, prevent the misuse of information and communication technologies, and regulate mechanisms for collecting and presenting electronic evidence.
A total of 72 countries signed the convention.
