Victims demand life sentence for Ruben Vardanyan
Court proceedings continue in the case of Armenian citizen Ruben Vardanyan, who is charged with crimes against peace and humanity, war crimes, terrorism and the financing of terrorism.
At a hearing of the Baku Military Court, Head of the Cabinet of Ministers’ Office Rufat Mammadov, speaking on behalf of the Azerbaijani state as the injured party, said he agreed with all evidence and facts presented by the prosecution.
Legal successors of the victims asked the court to sentence Vardanyan to life imprisonment. The defendant requested a meeting with his lawyer, after which the hearing was adjourned. The trial will resume after the break.
