Population of Baku is withdrawing its manat deposits from banks.

As of February 1, 2015, the volume of banking deposits of the population of Baku made AZN 6,550,273,300 which makes nearly 92% of the banking deposits countrywide.

News.Az reports with reference to the Central Bank of the country that the residents of Baku deposited AZN 3,843,517,300 (this indicator made AZN 4,015,190,000 in December of the last year, with the decline making AZN 171,672,400 or 4.3$) and AZN 2,706,756,000 in foreign currency (2,632,585,000) in December 2014, decline by AZN 74,171,900). The average interest rate made 8.1%.

The lowest amount of deposits were made by the residents of the Nakhchivan economic region.
