Azerbaijani boxer wins bronze at European Championship

Azerbaijani boxer Rufat Huseynov has won a bronze medal at the European Championship held in Samokov, Bulgaria.

On the way to the semifinal, Huseynov beat Georgian Mikhail Kazanjaini and Moldovan Yulian Ivanov, but lost to British Horn Harvey, AzerTag reports.

The championship saw fights of 241 boxers from 41 countries. The holders of the first six ranks in each weight categories gained licenses to the World Championship to be held in Qatar.
