Gymnasts show off their sycnchronized HOVERBOARD skills

Gymnasts show off their sycnchronized HOVERBOARD skills
20.11.2015 10:56
A group of Los Angeles-based female gymnasts has turned Justin Bieber's hit song Sorry on its head - or rather, they've turned on their own heads in order to perform a complex acrobatic routine to the hit, all while balancing on hoverboards.

Kelianne Stankus and Kailey Maurer, both 19, produced the incredible video in which they, along with three other gymnasts, do a stunningly unique take on the popstar's popular single.

But instead of twerking like the ladies in the original music video ,Kelianne, Kailey, and company bust a move atop high-tech hoverboards, twisting, turning, and doing some very impressive upside-down acrobatics while balancing on the moving gadgets.

The entire two-minute dance is performed on $699 Nex Board hoverboards, which the brand generously provided for the video.

And while the dance starts out simple enough, with Kelianne and Kailey twirling around atop their boards, the performance quickly elevates from just 'cool' to 'don't try this at home' territory – putting the experienced, award-winning gymnasts to the ultimate test.

The girls get off their feet and begin to balance on their hands while the hoverboards turn, and pretty quickly move on from regular handstands - which are impressive enough - to one-handed positions. And that's all while the boards are still moving.

Then, the duo is joined by a crew of three more female gymnasts in crop tops and leggings, all of whom were with Kelianne and Kailey on the USA National Team. The ladies were also finalists at the World Championships for acrobatic gymnastics - and watching what they do next, it's easy to see why.

First, they dance and keep their balance, even as the hoverboards rotate in circles. Looking like they were ripped right out of a a perfectly-choreographed Fifth Harmony video, the girls move and groove to the music.

But that's clearly just a warm-up. About a minute into the video, the gymnasts begin climbing on top of each other, scaling up onto one another's shoulders and doing even more hand-stands while high in the air

One girl even balances on her hands atop the hands and feet of two other gymnasts in one mindbogglingly complex move.
Finally, they finish off the jaw-dropping routine with a series of handstands and splits.
